TALKING PEOPLE – THE PRODIGAL
Talking People presents The Prodigal
21 April, UNDR
Set inside a Nigerian family-run restaurant, this new show explores generational conflict, following the return of a woman who, years earlier, left her children behind to return to Nigeria.
Driven by a desire to reflect the cultures, communities and stories that surround us, The Prodigal invites audiences into a fully immersed environment where story and space are inseparable. The restaurant is not just a setting, but a vital part of the narrative, shaped by histories of migration, identity and belonging.
As part of the experience, food will be provided by Toyin’s Kitchen, engaging the senses and deepening the connection between audience and story.
Come and see what happens when theatre leaves the stage and steps into the world it was born from.
