LIMP WRIST & THE IRON FIST

Limp Wrist & The Iron Fist by Emmanuel Akwafo

A defiant, tender and unflinching play exploring Black, Queer identity.

06 — 29 November, Brixton House Theatre

Limp Wrist & The Iron Fist is a bold new play inspired by true events from writer Emmanuel Akwafo’s life.

Set against the culturally rich and complex backdrop of London, follow four friends, Joseph, Monday, Nathaniel and Mohammed, as they navigate love, sexuality, faith and masculinity within a society that often silences and misrepresents them. With humour, heart and raw truth, Limp Wrist & The Iron Fist empowers young Black Queer people to embrace the fullness of who they are—culture, race, religion, body and soul.

Drawing from deeply personal experiences, this play is both a love letter and a call to arms—an honest, unapologetic celebration of Black, Queer resilience—and will leave you reflecting on your own perceptions of identity.
