CORNERSHOP CHRONICLES

Cornershop Chronicles by Sinead Geral

01 — 02 June, Canada Water Theatre

Cornershop Chronicles is a play set in a local corner shop at the heart of its community. Each customer that passes through its doors brings their own worries, arguments and everyday dramas. From struggling with parenthood to couples clashing over money and identity, the shop becomes a place where these individuals can unload.

Through humour and awkward moments, the play explores belonging, community and the impact of gentrification. As the shop faces closure, the characters are forced to confront their own struggles and the meaning of losing this shared space.
